Just A Random Ramble...

C. loves to play "dress up". With two sisters you would think he'd be in a dress more often but he prefers knights, cowboys, and firemen. Sometimes he does pretend he's Prince "Charmin" (not to be confused with the toilet paper)!


This pic was something I did for Relief Society. We are having an enrichment night that is centered around the book "The Hundred Dresses". We each got to decorate a cardboard dress any way we like and they are going to see if we can guess which one belongs to which person.





Here in Bloomington is State Farm's Corporate office. We enjoy many "perks" with the company. One perk is State Farm Park. It's a huge park with several playgrounds, a huge swimming area and Club House, and two lakes. We love to go in the Summer and Spring and fish during the evening. This summer O learned how to bait her own hook YUCK! C would rather chase ducks, and K just wants to catch as many fish as she can.

Your kids must love to fish. K still talks about the time we took her fishing. She had a great time.

Hey Syndy! I was blog hopping and found you today! I am so dumb! A couple of months ago I had asked Damian if he still ate lunch every now and then w/ Chris. Man, am I out of the loop! He told me Chris was transferred quite a while back. Glad your blogging!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...

Our 68 Whiskey

All the fretting and studying and worrying and starving paid off!  K scored an excellent score on her ASVAB, better than most people!  She was able to pic the MOS (job) that she wanted and is happily enlisted in the US Army as a 68W (combat medic).  She has a ship out date of June 21 2017 but when she gets her diploma in her hot little hand in December she will renegotiate her contract and try and leave earlier.  This is a huge sigh of relief for her and a bit of a sigh of anxiety for her momma!  That's ok she is following her dream and doing what she will love.  I have faith that she will succeed!  Love that girl of mine.
