Boys vs Girls



OK, so you all know that I actually have 4 children. The oldest (Chris) got an "N-Strike Maverick" Nerf gun (I'm being prompted over my shoulder the correct terms) for Christmas. Actually he got 2 because you cannot play war with only 1 gun. Tonight they all got together and played, it was hilarious to see them on the floor belly crawling and dodging Nerf darts. We have learned that C can die the best. He really gets into it and collapses to the floor. Too funny.

I completely understand!

My three boys have full fledged battles as well. Did you have the exclamations of, "Hey! Die you sneaky sucker; I shot you." Yeah, those words wouldn't dare come from the mouths of my children. =)

Okay, here's another "It could be worse" comment. Your man child and children could be addicted to video games like mine are. I had to tell my husband he has to abide by the same rules as kiddies. Oh the joy of being the alpha parent!

I love the Alpha Parent thing!! Video games are not allowed in our house. Luckily Chris hates them too.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
