Little House on the Prairie/Freezing Kitty

For Christmas K got 2 seasons of Little House on the Prairie on DVD. Let's just say we have LHOTP'd our brains out. I caught the kids snuggled in my bed with an episode on the other day. You know that you have watched too much when you are in the shower singing "Old Dan Tucker was a fine old man..." and you start telling your children to stop acting like Nellie Oleson.

I know another picture of the cat? Am I that blog crazy that I'm taking pictures of the pets every day? No I just thought it was funny that he was so cold he had his nose and face covered with a paw. Winston is a Ca. cat all the way and refuses to go outside in the winter. Again Happy New Year.

I know it is cold here too. I think it was 0 (-12 wind chill) last night.

BTW - I love your bed. I think we will be replacing ours in the next year.

Our headboard is just an old antique door we got from a salvage place here in town. Way cheap and way cool.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
