It's raining it's pouring!

Last night it started raining around 6:00 and did not stop pouring until about 8:00 this morning. We got 3 inches and had a HUGE thunderstorm. If you have never experienced a Midwest thunderstorm you should. They are unbelievable. The thunder gets so loud our whole house shakes and the lightning is like a strobe lamp! FUN, except they come mostly at night and there goes the kids sleeping! Anyway after the storm this morning our yard looked like a lake and the kids took advantage of the warmer weather and played in the puddles. I was trying to be sly and take these quietly that's why they are not good quality I was in the house.
Oops got caught!
C. was covered head to toe in mud. Yuck. Now it's cold again and snow is expected, go figure.

I love the rain. We used to get the best thunderstorms in SLC. They are nothing like what we had in Bakersfield.

I wish we would have a good rain storm here - it is snowing right now and COLD.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
