Sunday Evening Discussion

Since we go to church now from 1:00-4:00 we get to discuss our class topics over dinner instead of lunch. I just thought I'd share this one with you. C learned about Daniel and the Lions den and was actually really good at sharing the details with us. But then K was sharing with us that her lesson was on "The Iron Rod" and C got all excited and asked " Your lesson was on Harry and Ron?" The Harry Potter Mania continues at our house.
Oh one more thing he came home with a drawing with the words "What I am Thankful For" across the top. His teacher asked him what his drawings were of (he's still a Sunbeam) and one was his sister O, the other was a tractor and the last one was his dart gun! Chris was so impressed.

Too cute! Jess came home today too (as they are in the same class) and hers said she was thankful for: eggs,babies,purple, light sabers and Noah's fire gun. Ok so I get the light sabers as my boys have become Star Wars fanatics with their new SW lego game for the Wii we got for xmas. But we don't have guns of any sort in our house. I don't know where this fire gun thing came from. Too funny though!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

34 Reasons Why I Love You

Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. I also wanted to give him a little extra and thought I needed to publicly share some of the reasons why I love him. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
