Not Much Going On

I haven't posted in a while because truthfully nothing much has been happening. Don't get me wrong we are as busy as heck but nothing picture or blog worthy. Mostly just running around and doing YW stuff. This Friday is a talent show in our ward that K is involved in so I'm sure I will have pics of that. The biggest news around here is that in July (the entire month of July) the kids and I are going to be in Ca. We are really excited about our vacation. Just now when I was standing at the bus stop waiting for K's bus and it was 9 degrees and windchill of about -15 I was wishing for Ca weather right then. Can you beleive people there are already getting their flower beds ready for spring. That doesn't happen here until about late May. Anyway the weather is a huge excuse to stay in and sew all day long. I have a few new things on my website you should see, I've been sewing up a storm. sacksbysyndy.com

I know what you mean. This time of year is the only time I wish I lived in Bakersfield. The fact that it is already in the 70's there makes it tempting. But then I just remind myself that it will be 105+ there while it is only 95 here and I smile!!!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
