Chores by Choice?



If I had asked them to go and rake leaves I would have been in for the fight of my life. However they had the idea on their own, so that makes it fun! Hopefully this bought of Spring will stay for a few days. Probably not because tonight calls for a good ol' fashion Midwest thunderstorm! More sleepless nights, GREAT!

I can only hope my kids will want to do that too. We will have 40 sq feet of back yard so plenty to do back there. I might even get a garden. They look so cute out there. Now if we can only clean INSIDE the house.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. I also wanted to give him a little extra and thought I needed to publicly share some of the reasons why I love him. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
