Do you ever feel like your kids are raising you?

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, destructive children! My kids are awful, they have the nicest toys and books around and treat them like they are disposable. I have friends that give us toys and they look like brand new, and they say things like "All four of my kids used this and now they've out grown it". If all three of my kids used a toy it's going to look like it belongs in the garbage, not suitable for other children to play with. Anyway we have been working on this for the last few weeks and even have had family talks about "respecting" your things, and other people's things. The new rule " if you disrespect something of yours it gets taken away for a week, if you disrespect someone else's things then they get to go and pick something of yours to get taken away". Well after a long winded family talk, mostly me doing the talking my kids have been on the watch.

The other day Winston was scratching at my furniture, I grabbed the first thing I could reach which was one of the kids books and chucked it at the cat. C walked around the corner and said, "OOOOH mommy you are not aspecting my things". I hate it when they are right!

Just had to laugh. I find Ali catching me on things I say to do or not do as well. We are only human. :-)

I told Madie that she was hell on wheels after she slammed the refridgerator door and made a bottle fall and break. Then she went into the bathroom to wash her hands and broke the soap dispenser. She said that she is not hell on wheels she is a princess... princess hell on wheels!!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
