Rooting for Daddy


Chris has had some shoulder trouble this last week. He woke up Monday morning and was unable to move it at all. Tuesday he went to the MD and found out he has Frozen Shoulder. I have never heard of this condition and I love updating my medical knowledge so I looked it up. Apparently this happens to middle aged WOMEN mostly. He was pretty mortified when he heard that. It is a real medical condition, I was skeptical because of the name of it. It should be some crazy name like... Mobility impaired shoulder syndrome, or something we meer mortals cannot understand. Anyway he went to Physical Therapy yesterday and had some exercises he was supposed to do at home and I came in the room and found him doing his exercises and the kids literally cheering him on. They were clapping and chanting. Reluctantly Chris let me take pictures. He just knew I would blog them.

Tell Chris I love his fashion choice - plaid on plaid is soooo in!!!!

I do feel sorry for him though. Last week I was playing with J and hurt my left shoulder. It hurt to move it which made picking J up really hard. Hopefully Chris will start feeling better soon.

Ouch! Too bad we don't live anywhere near, or Jim could help him out with that shoulder. Hope he's feeling better after a while of physical therapy.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...

Our 68 Whiskey

All the fretting and studying and worrying and starving paid off!  K scored an excellent score on her ASVAB, better than most people!  She was able to pic the MOS (job) that she wanted and is happily enlisted in the US Army as a 68W (combat medic).  She has a ship out date of June 21 2017 but when she gets her diploma in her hot little hand in December she will renegotiate her contract and try and leave earlier.  This is a huge sigh of relief for her and a bit of a sigh of anxiety for her momma!  That's ok she is following her dream and doing what she will love.  I have faith that she will succeed!  Love that girl of mine.
