What's In A Name?

Jenn Wolff was right Bookie means Boy in Hutese. She says you can google anything, I'm thinking her and Damian are as nerdy as Chris and I! Just kidding. Now what do you win? NADA! I've got nothin! The saddest thing is the other day we had a plumber installing our new dishwasher and C told the man that Bookie was his middle name. I guess he gets called that a little too much. We even shorten it to Book, or my personal fav is Bookalicious! Now that I think about it I think I call him Bookie, or other variant of Bookie, more than his actual name. A few months ago the kids were deciding on nick names and C came up with Grassman. So sometimes he wants to be called Grassman, hopefully this one will not stick until he's a teenager and turn out to mean something other than he loves to play on the grass. Other nick names he's picked on his own are: Spikey Bill (when I spike his hair after his shower) or Poision Bobby (that one is just creepy I don't know where he got it) anyway he cracks me up, we laugh at him on a continual basis with the things he comes up with.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. I also wanted to give him a little extra and thought I needed to publicly share some of the reasons why I love him. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
