Tea for Two

Every week the mom's from church get together and have "play date" On Wednesday my friend Kim hosted play date at her house and decided it would be fun to have a tea party. The kids drank chocolate milk with marshmallows for sugar cubes, and white milk for cream. They had TONS of snacks and lunch. The girls were all dressed as Princesses, I think we had 2 Snow Whites, 2 Sleeping Beauties, a Dora Princess, a Fairy and a Barbie. The boys dressed up like a superhero, or knight or whatever they wanted. We had 2 Spiderman's and a Fireman/Ball Player. Actually C was dressed like Spiderman with Cowboy boots and a Darth Vader mask! Can't get any better than that.
He thought he was pretty funny wearing that dress. The sad part is with those Spiderman muscles in the costume he fills out that dress better than I could!

Ahh, the fun I could have if I had girls! I remember tea parties when I was younger. I don't think my boys would enjoy the fantasy tea party experience I have pictured in my head. More importantly, I think Chris would have a serious meltdown! Ohh to dream!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...

Our 68 Whiskey

All the fretting and studying and worrying and starving paid off!  K scored an excellent score on her ASVAB, better than most people!  She was able to pic the MOS (job) that she wanted and is happily enlisted in the US Army as a 68W (combat medic).  She has a ship out date of June 21 2017 but when she gets her diploma in her hot little hand in December she will renegotiate her contract and try and leave earlier.  This is a huge sigh of relief for her and a bit of a sigh of anxiety for her momma!  That's ok she is following her dream and doing what she will love.  I have faith that she will succeed!  Love that girl of mine.
