Something only a Man in training would ask for!

Just thought I'd share this cute tidbit. You know kids say the cutest things. The other day I brought home some Nutter Butters. You've seen them, the cookies shaped like peanuts and taste like peanut butter, oobergood. (that's a word I learned form the YW on our trip, you can put oober on the front of any word and it sounds great, oobercute, ooberhot, oobertastic etc) Well C loved them, the cookies, so I gave him 2 and a little while later he came into my room and asked "Can I have another penis"? It took me a little bit to realize he was asking for another "peanut". TOO FUNNY!

lol. Those ARE the best cookies. I have to have them and peanut m&m's on every road trip. Guess I need to hit the store friday.

Don't you love it when they dont quite get the words right yet.

That's hilarious! There do seem to be quite a few funny slip ups that are just the kids trying to say a word and not quite getting it right.

Today I got: "Mom, why do you sit down to go to the bathroom?" I explained to him that I didn't have a penis. Eyes wide open . . . "You DON'T have a penis?!" I then explained the "v" word. Guess what word I heard sing-songy all day!

I love it! Kids are so innocently funny! I have been red faced and embarassed by the things my kids say too many times to count!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
