Crazy Daze of Summer

Mom and Dad bought the kids a Slip and Slide and a little kiddie pool to keep them entertained this month. It was funny cuz C had never even seen a slip and slide he just thought you walked on it and got wet. It was so cute watching him try and figure out how to slide on it. The girls of course jumped right on and had a blast.
Last night we went and saw the fireworks here in Shafter they were pretty good. When we lived here we could go to our neighbors yard and watch them every year. This year we found an empty field where almond groves used to be and parked to watch. A lot of people had the same idea we had. There's nothing better than watching fireworks, celebrating your countries independence while listening to car stereos booming with Mexican music (Hispanic music, Spanish music, I'm not sure what is politically correct, but I never said this blog was going to be politically correct). Something very ironic about that. I love fireworks, I could watch them for hours. My kids however were bored half way through and wanted to go home. We didn't go home but they had more fun playing in the dirt than actually watching the fireworks.


Grandma and Papa have a spa tub!!! OOOH what fun! K was the first to take advantage of this. She loved it, I think we should get one of these at home!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
