FIESTA!!

Today we had a "Fiesta" for the kids birthdays (at least C, O, and B). K had her party in April. Daryl was getting home late so it was up to me to BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers. I learned a great grilling lesson tonight... Don't grill under an ant infested tree. It got a little smoky and I felt something on my arm and the ants had been smoked off the tree and were falling on me. There was literally a swarm of ants all over my body! I knocked them off and squelched the urge to strip my clothes off right there in the backyard. The only thing that kept me clothed was the fact that my BIL Jonathan was home from work already. Once I finished the grilling I ran in and changed my clothes . We had an Oreo Ice cream cake and BBQ. The kids all got to blow out candles and hardly even fought.

After our yummy dinner and dessert we had a pinata! There were baby birds in the trees so we could not hang it from a tree so Daryl rigged up the next best thing. K broke the whole thing open on her turn, to Jonathan's dismay, he was really looking forward to a shot at it!

Last night C and B slept in a fort in the front room. A random pic of O with grandma's glasses and lip gloss.

You are having so much more fun then I am. So far we are just staying at home and swimming. My kids are looking like Cali babies but I am still white - how did that happen!?!?!?

We are headed out to Costco in about an hour if you want to run into us... What do you say?

Love the picture of the little girl in the big sunglasses.

Our mini-crib was from Babies R Us, like 100 bucks I think. It came with the mattress. We picked the more portable one than some they make. The mattress is thin. (More than adequate for comfort though...) Babies R Us sells sheets and bumpers for them too. Plain colors, nothing fancy, and for Jessie I appliqued flowers on a store bought bumper. I don't know what there is out there now- we bought our just about 4 years ago. Good luck in your search- ours has served us well!
