"The Recipe"
No, not the "recipe" like in the Walton's although if school does not start soon I may consider it. This is the recipe for the detergent!!
1 cup borax
1 cup Arm and Hammer WASHING Soda
2 cups grated soap
Grate Soap, mix with other ingredients. It's that easy. I actually used my food processor because the soap wants to separate from the other ingredients and it seemed to help. This time I bought Kirk's Castile soap and it worked great but I think next time I will buy Ivory because it is a fraction of the cost, and you have to use 2 bars to get 2 cups of grated soap.
Use 2 Tablespoons per wash load. I have used it in hot and cold water with great results, and I really load my machine! Enjoy Ladies.
