Poor Man's Garlic Bread

I was out of French Bread one night and did a little substituting. These turned out yummy and Chris actually said we should just do this all the time. So I did it again and they loved it. Plus it's super cheap!

Poor Man's Garlic Bread

Hot dog buns
butter softened
seasoning (herb garlic from Sam's Club) or just garlic powder, basil, pepper, whatever you like
Parmesan cheese

combine softened butter, and herbs, spread on open buns, top with cheese, and broil til golden brown.

I've started my own recipe blog if anyone is interested. I realized that after going on vacation and taking my cook book with me that this was much easier and a lot less space. I can pull up any recipe just by searching the name in the search field. Now I don't have to look at 500 cook books trying to remember which one had that yummy roll recipe. I'm still compiling and I will add pictures as soon as I think to take them. thequeensrecipes

Syndy, you rock! I am way excited to try out some new stuff. Tam and I were just talking about how difficult it can be to come up with creative, new dinner ideas. Thanks for sharing your ideas!

This is really funny because before I even read the post I thought - my mom always used hot dog buns. All I know is we loved them

That is such a great idea! I will eat anything you give me, so I can't wait to dig into some new ideas.
Bryan was released from being Wasco Branch president today so we were all in Wasco and JC looks at me and says, "Where's Chris and Syndy? Aren't they in this ward?"
Ummm not so much anymore sweetheart. LOL!

You are so creative! I can't even get hot dog buns for hot dogs! Matthew begged me last week to buy the buns because he was so tired of using regular bread for his hot dogs.

That's too funny Melissa. Where has he been the last 2 years? Anyway my parents are still there. I know Brian was excited to be released. Wouldn't you be after 7 years?
