HELP

Ok, so we've had this kitten for almost 2 weeks and we are stumped for a name. I know I blogged about his name being Zoom but it's just not workin for us. This is harder than when we named the children. After we brought O home from the hospital it took me a few days to remember what we named her and to call her by it. I know I'm strange but the name has to fit the person/animal so to speak. So at the side of my post I have a poll, tell me what name you like best. Or if you'd like comment and suggest some other random name. You can tell what movies we love her by what names are in the poll.

I have always been fond of Hephestus (the greek god of blacksmithing), but such a huge name hardly fits a cute cat. Now if you had a Great Mastiff, we would be in business.

I like, and voted for, Gollum, but I think the cant looks more like a Frodo.

As for names, we had a hard time naming our kids and our pets. At one point I had suggested Kenny, Kyle, and Cartman. Then it dawned on me that those were the names of characters from the cartoon South Park... which I happen to find revolting. Yeah, it only got worse from there; we actually consulted the Marvel Comic website for name ideas... Peter Parker, Tony Stark, anyone?

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...

Our 68 Whiskey

All the fretting and studying and worrying and starving paid off!  K scored an excellent score on her ASVAB, better than most people!  She was able to pic the MOS (job) that she wanted and is happily enlisted in the US Army as a 68W (combat medic).  She has a ship out date of June 21 2017 but when she gets her diploma in her hot little hand in December she will renegotiate her contract and try and leave earlier.  This is a huge sigh of relief for her and a bit of a sigh of anxiety for her momma!  That's ok she is following her dream and doing what she will love.  I have faith that she will succeed!  Love that girl of mine.
