My New Endeavor

I am really excited about my new endeavor. I have started giving sewing lessons, from home. It really came about in a burst of thought about how I could earn some extra dough. In one afternoon I had a flier made up and distributed and the next day my first student. She starts on Friday. Part of me is nervous because I've never actually taught before but the other part says all I have to do is take my knowledge and pass it along. So if you live in the area and know of anyone who needs this service pass along my name. Wish me luck!

OH MAN!!! I so need some lessons. I have a machine, but no knowledge of how to use it. The sewing machine was a "motivational gift." You know, your mom gives you something AWESOME in hope that you will learn to use it. Well, that hasn't happened yet. However I do hope to make the boys' Halloween costumes... how hard can 2 Luke Skywalker (New Hope and Jedi Luke) outfits be, right?

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
