Sewing Lesson Success

Today was my first sewing lesson in my home. It was soooo fun! I have one student she is 12 and very sweet. It was our first time meeting today and she was able to complete a hair scrunchie and learn all about her machine! I can't tell you the feeling of teaching her to sew it was great! I know this post has too many exclamation points but I am really excited!! I hope that I can round up some more students because that was the best afternoon I've spent in a long time.

I am so excited for you. I can imagine that it was great.

Maybe you could come up with an online (blog maybe??) course for your friends that are far away. You could post a lesson every week with a challenge that we have to complete before the next week. I think it could be very successful. At least I can guarentee you would have one student!!!

I think the online blog/course is a good idea. I am terrible student of online classes. Oh, but if you decide to do it could your first assignment be to complete a Luke Skywalker costume... or perhaps two??

I remember making scrunchies. I forgot how easy they were. I guess I should make some for ali. How did work go. Have you started yet.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
