Happy Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving. I am grateful for so many things. I've also started my list of 365 things. I only started yesterday so maybe by Christmas I'll have it done.

I hope everyone has a great day. I am missing my family so much today it hurts. I love you all and wish we were together. Can't type through the tears... more later.

Happy Thanksgiving and YOU are on my "list". It is hard because I am not trying to just add my friends by name on that list because that would make making the list easier. I think the beauty of the list I am making is REALLY thinking of 365 things that I am grateful for. I don't think I will have mine done today either but I promise to keep working on it! I will make a goal for Christmas too. That would be a great time to have the list done too I think!

From a repositioned family in California, all of us hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Besides being in California is overrated we had fires just a block from our house last weekend. I can do without that ever again. :)

I know how you feel. This is the first year where it is JUST our family. Even in Utah we had extended family around. I am having a hard time getting into the spirit of cooking and getting everything ready. I just want to sit down and read the ads for tomorrow and feel lonely.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
