My New Apron Arrived

I know most people would not be this excited about a new apron. I however am not most people. I love LOVE love getting new things for my kitchen. Yesterday Chris' select-a-gift (State Farm's version of Christmas gifts) arrived and this year I got to pick from the catalog and chose a blender, can you say SMOOTHIES FOR BREAKFAST!!! My new apron is however the complete highlight of my week. As some of you know my friend Heidi makes the cutest aprons and sells them on her ETSY site, the minute I got wind of this I had to have one for myself. So I hatched a plan that had us both winners, I bartered an apron for a purse! We each provided our own fabric and sewed for each other, this is what I consider a WIN WIN situation.

Of course I had to have bee fabric, it's so cute I almost hate to use it. My other apron is literally gross so I need to use it but it will be a while before I actually wipe yucky chicken juice or anything too disgusting on it. So here's me in my new Vivapron, so much better than my Hancock's smock!

Too cute! I found an etsy site that has 50's mom aprons and has dia de los muertes skulls all over it. Domestic goddess girly, but hip! I totally want one for Christmas!

I think you should wear it to work and demand an upgrade--after all, it is a FABRIC store. Shouldn't you get to wear something cute made out of the fabric you sell?
Heidi is a woman of many talents. And so are you. That's great!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
