High Councilman Banned From Ward
That was the topic of conversation in the foyer yesterday during Sacrament meeting. We had a High Council speaker in our ward and apparently during his talk (that was about Christmas) he said there was no Santa Clause!!! I missed that part of the talk. I was in the foyer tending to a friends baby. Right after he said that there were about 5 moms in the foyer that were really upset about it. (me too as O has not figured that one out yet) It was so funny. You would have thought that he announced that polygamy was being reinstated and we all had to live the law of consecration again. They all concluded that their kids really don't listen to the talks anyway so it would be fine. Hopefully none of us have to have that "talk" with our little ones due to a High Councilman's slip! The one day that we are glad our kids never listen in Sacrament!

I saw your snow comment on my blog- you are right, we are lucky not to have it all winter. It's like a special treat instead of a constant thing to deal with. This is the most we've seen in the three years we've been here, and apparently it's thicker where we are (middle of nowhere). It's snowing again, but at least it's not 15 degrees. That's when your snot freezes. And that's just gross. Do you get used to it? Because you know that here we only wear sweatshirts and a long sleeve tee and we are fine, and during the colder winters we might get a jacket. Jocelyn told me a few months ago that this was going to be a cold winter (farmer's almanac, I think?). So far, she's right.
