Baby Update

My blog has always been a family journal of sorts. I post everything from pictures to funny stories to random stuff no one cares about but me and my family. It's strange for me now to be posting about my pregnancy. I've always written my experiences with pregnancy in my journal but now I have a way to record them for the whole family to enjoy not just me. So bear with me through the next 9 months of Baby Updates!

I went to the Doctor last Thursday. Yes, it's taken me a week to decide if I'm going to blog about it or not. He wanted to do an ultrasound to see how far along I truly am because let's face it my cycles are not that predictable (sorry any hubby's that are reading right now!). I usually am really excited about any appt when I'm pregnant but I was really nervous about this one. He got me on the table and started the ultrasound. He showed me the baby and the heartbeat and did all the appropriate measuring. I was so relieved. I was worried that he was going to do the ultrasound and say, "well we thought you were pregnant but we must have been wrong, sorry". I told him that I was worried this was all a joke, and he just laughed and said this is not a joke you need to realize that! So now I'm almost 9 weeks along, and my due date is Sept 5th.

YEAH - I can't wait to hear about everything you are doing. For now I have to live through you so make them detailed and juicy!!! Maybe juicy is not the right word... lets see detailed and often!!!

GREAT!!! I was always scared too. After you have one when they said a baby had died you freak out after that. Davids "twin" died and its been hard ever since. Im glad all is ok with you and the baby.

I totally sympathize with you! I am always sure it is just a joke at the beginning. Even though you probably feel plenty pregnant. I am so glad everything is going well. I will start keeping my things for you.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
