It's Contagious

No, it's not the stomach flu (thank goodness)! O got her hair cut on Monday, and K instantly decided that she was jealous and wanted her hair cut too. Well knowing my child like I do I made her wait 3 days to be sure that is what she wanted to do. I've been telling her for the last 2 years that she should cut her hair but she's insisted that she wanted long hair. This time however it was her idea and decision, I figure she's 9 and can make up her own mind. When she was little I kept her hair really short for the same reason as O's, THE SCREAMING! Finally when she was 5 1/2 and the bag boy at the market said to her "Oh, HE'S so cute" she was done and never has whined about her hair being done again. (mind you she had a barrette in her hair at the time and earrings on, so the boy was just basically an idiot) So it's been long ever since. Well yesterday we went and had it cut. She insisted that she get the same lady O did, lucky for us she was working. This is what she ended up with...

I think it's adorable when little girls have their hair cut like that. I'm sure your morning hair fixing will be much more at ease. Love both cuts!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...

Our 68 Whiskey

All the fretting and studying and worrying and starving paid off!  K scored an excellent score on her ASVAB, better than most people!  She was able to pic the MOS (job) that she wanted and is happily enlisted in the US Army as a 68W (combat medic).  She has a ship out date of June 21 2017 but when she gets her diploma in her hot little hand in December she will renegotiate her contract and try and leave earlier.  This is a huge sigh of relief for her and a bit of a sigh of anxiety for her momma!  That's ok she is following her dream and doing what she will love.  I have faith that she will succeed!  Love that girl of mine.
