Spiderman Lives On

The other day as I was doing laundry I came across C's Spiderman costume. I come across it a lot and every time I think, "I need to put this up so he will stop wearing it". However, every time I forget to put it away before he finds it and insists on wearing it every minute of every day. (I do make him take it off for school and church, and occasionally the store) Then after about 3 days I finally peel it off of him and put it back in the wash thinking, this time I will remember to put it out of site before he finds it again.

Well last night I had an "AH HA" moment... WHY? What is the harm in letting the boy wear the Spiderman costume if it makes him happy. He's not going to fit into it for much longer, maybe a year or so. I know that seems like a long time but when it comes down to it, it's not really. I hope I'll always remember with fondness the year he wore his Spiderman costume every day. I may even look back and wish that it was still that easy to make him happy.

Sometimes you just have to do that. Remember there are worst things he could want to dress up like... maybe Barbi!?!?

james is really into jammies right now. I can't get them off of him and when I finally do he sneaks upstairs and changes.

Our boys' Halloween costumes because official pajamas this year. Ah, the joys of heavy fleece costumes... Luke Skywalker and Luke Skywalker can read books together before bed!

Take it from a mom who is watching her child pack for college. LET HIM BE. There are battles we must fight with our children and wars that will be waged. But, there are few places an adorable spidey wearing little one would not be appreciated. I say, "Let Spidey Live".

Yes HORRAY for Spiderman!!! I feel like this too except for when J wants to change 400 times a day and sleep in a dress,ballet costume, fairy costume, swimming suit etc. Just not pj's. I know you feel this way too but I think it is REALLY adorable and I read alot into it. Spiderman is a superhero and superhero's save people and do wonderful things. May he remember these days fondly, may you take enormous amount of Spiderman C footage to remember. I think it is cute! Spiderman C and Superman C! You have GREAT superheros in your home! You should always feel safe! :-)

We have Spiderman pjs that Matthew would wear 24/7 if I let him. Even when they get toooooo small. I then switch them out with a larger size, when I find them. Wish I could say they were the same pjs . . . but, at least their Spiderman! We also have a pair of Pokemon pj bottoms that now look like shorts on him . . . he refuses to give them up!

Did you ever see "Daddy Daycare" (Eddie Murphy)? They have that kid that dresses like Flash. Eventually, he takes the costume off...He doesn't want to be Flash.- He wants to be Tony.

I leave my kids costumes out for them to play with and have even picked up new ones on clearance after Halloween. The boys like to dress up just as much as the girls do. Unfortunately their options are limited to Halloween costumes. Why not? Let him play. Today Jake has gone from Superman, to a cowboy, a pirate and a "kitar" playing soldier. He has a blast.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring.
