From the Mouths of Babes

Today C and I were snuggling after the girls went to school watching TV. It happens a lot now that I'm really not feeling very well for the better part of every morning. He see's the commercial for Special K, the one where the little girl tells her mommy that she and the fat snowman are twins. So the mom quickly goes inside for a nice bowl of Special K. C turns to me and says, "You should get some of that Mom". I hold my breath and say, "Why". I'm thinking the worst like, "because you could loose 6 lbs too mommy", or "you look like the snowman too mommy". My girls would have said that to me but my cute sweet C comes out with, "because I would love cereal after playing in the snow mom".

He is his dad's boy, it's all about the food!

I love that the ad that says you're fat is also telling you to go eat something -- the problem isn't that you don't know what to eat!!! C is super sweet! At that age (when I was pregnant with L) Charles would always call me his little momma. And I wasn't little just so you know.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
