Some Clarification

Wow, I didn't know my post of 25 random things would become such a topic of conversation!  I guess there are a few things that need "clarifying". 

1.  Chris did not pepper spray me on purpose.  He didn't even realize he had done it until I was coughing and gagging!  There had been a murder in my apartment building and my parents thought it best that I carry pepper spray.  I was addressing wedding invitations at my kitchen table and he was sitting on a bar stool next to me trying to fix the pepper spray.  (We had a sneaking suspicion that it didn't work).  Well needless to say it worked.  TWICE!  It was the middle of winter, and we had to leave the apartment with the air on full blast for about 30 minutes while it aired out.  He felt really bad after that. 

2.  I don't think we'd actually divorce over food on the phone, or underwear!  I just know it drives him crazy!

3. Chris does post under the name of Benny!  It's a long story that involves a murder mystery dinner, and a chicken puppet named Benny.  If you want to read more about Benny visit his blog at bennyschickenchat.blogspot.com

Oh, I thought of one more random thing... I once went on a blind date with a married man!  There that should get your tongues wagging!

If it makes Chris feel any better, I have pepper sprayed myself more than once.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...

Our 68 Whiskey

All the fretting and studying and worrying and starving paid off!  K scored an excellent score on her ASVAB, better than most people!  She was able to pic the MOS (job) that she wanted and is happily enlisted in the US Army as a 68W (combat medic).  She has a ship out date of June 21 2017 but when she gets her diploma in her hot little hand in December she will renegotiate her contract and try and leave earlier.  This is a huge sigh of relief for her and a bit of a sigh of anxiety for her momma!  That's ok she is following her dream and doing what she will love.  I have faith that she will succeed!  Love that girl of mine.
