My Mother's Day 2009

Today has been a great day!  I love Mother's Day.  The kids woke me up this morning by hovering at my bedroom door, and the minute my eyes popped open screaming, "She's AWAKE"!!!  We had donuts for breakfast, and got ready for church.  I got about a gazillion cards from the kids, and a cute painted pot from O.  Each of the kids made me a little gift bag at Primary.  After Church I got my "main" gift which was framed pictures of the kids at State Farm Park.  I guess Chris asked them what they wanted to get me for mother's day and they said they wanted to take pictures at the park in their good clothes and frame them.  They even picked out the frame.  Chris was basically the chauffeur, the photographer, and the bank roll!  Of course what Mother's Day would be complete without the primary kids singing in Sacrament?

After church I enjoyed a lunch in bed, then we cleaned out the 
girls drawers and got out all the summer clothes.  Only a mother would be willing to go through their child's closet and sniff all the clothes on the floor to tell if they are dirty or clean!  Now we're chillin' enjoying the great weather and of course blogging.  So here's a picture of my loot:

I miss you guys so much - we will have to plan something. Are you in the mood for a Cali trip?!?!?!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
