Happy Late Birthday Chris



My sweet husband had a birthday last week. He is now half way to 70, as he put it. I have to say that he really goes all out for my holidays, but I on the other hand have a hard time planning anything for him. I always put things off until the last minute, and usually come up with grand plans in my head that if I had started 2 weeks ago would have been perfect.

This year we made him breakfast in bed. I think this is the first time I have ever given him breakfast in bed. He got homemade breakfast burritos, and juice in his new Captain Kirk glass. One of his gifts was the whole set of Star Trek glasses from Burger King. The only things he requested on his birthday list were new razors, and a new loofah. The man is easy to please.

We spent the day hanging out, went to the park to fish, played miniature golf, then dropped off the kids for a great dinner out. We went to a restaurant I had never been to before called CJ's. YUM! We ate an appetizer that was every pregnant woman's dream, deep fried pickle spears! Seriously my eyes rolled in the back of my head. Dinner was delish too and Chris had a dessert that made his eyes roll in the back of his head, Turtle Cheesecake (minus the chocolate). After dinner we went and watched Angel's and Demon's, good movie but read the book first.

I think he ended up having a great day. His family all called him to send him birthday wishes. I think the phone rang all day. His mom sent him a DVD collection of Star Trek Next Generation. So Happy Birthday Honey! Here's to 35 more years!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... 34 Reasons Why I Love You

Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
