The Crub Fairy Strikes Again

If you are patient enough here in our town, you are bound to find almost anything you want at a garage sale or on the curb. I've been wanting to buy K her own hair straightener for a long time and sure enough yesterday we found one for $2 at a garage sale (straightener and crimper). We have also been wanting a fire pit for our back yard. Chris' brother dug us one that is really great we've just been waiting to find that great deal on rock to finish it off. Well today driving home from our free Arby's lunch, we found a free standing fire pit on the curb. Chris quickly hoped in to his truck and tore off down the road to retrieve it. When you drive by things on the curb you never know what kind of shape they are really in, so it was a gamble. He brought it home and it's great. It had all the pieces and fits just right into our already dug hole, we just need a few rocks to go around it. It even had a bundle of firewood with it!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. I also wanted to give him a little extra and thought I needed to publicly share some of the reasons why I love him. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
