Maternity Leave Here I Come!!!

Well it's official. Today was my last day of work until after the baby is born. It feels really nice to just have one job now, Mom! Actually if you count "Wife" then it's two jobs but really lately there's been very little "Wife" stuff happening. Before all your minds go in the gutter, I meant cooking and cleaning.

My place of work is a little strange. I've worked there almost a year and I was still not sure if they really liked me. Usually I make friends very easily and have a great relationship with my co-workers but this time it's been really hard to connect with anyone there. I do have one supervisor who I did get to be friends with but that's about it. So I thought today was just going to be another work day and that was that. Well I was wrong. They got me a cake, and all signed a card. I was shocked. Trust me a cake and a card is a HUGE show of affection for this place.

I got to take 1/2 the cake home since there were only 4 employees working today. The kids really liked it, but the frosting left a bit of a mark....

Wow...just from frosting? Crazy. Although, I think Chris should make this one his profile pic on FB. :-)

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
