The Boy Can Ride




Tonight we went on a family walk. Actually the kids rode bikes and Chris and I walked. We noticed that C was riding his bike without using the training wheels, even though they were still on the bike. When we got home I asked Chris to take the training wheels off and see what would happen. I figured it would be a repeat of a few months ago when we took off O's and she freaked out and suddenly couldn't do anything. Not the case with the boy. We took those wheel's off and away he went the first time. Not a wobble, not a crash, not a tear was shed!!! He's so different from the girls it amazes me daily. Now he feels like he's 5 he says!! Go C!!!!!

Nice! Our youngest did just the same thing two days ago. What a crack up! I really should blog that too.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
