SCORE!!!

I've been looking for a dresser for some time now. Well, since I've been pregnant. We didn't have any place to put the baby clothes so it is getting down to the wire. I'm always on the lookout for that ROCKIN' DEAL!!! The dresser that I use now I found at a garage sale, the guy was packing things up late on a Saturday and there the dresser sat unsold. It is beautiful, tall, antique, and hardly any scratches, he was asking $20 for it but I only had $10 in my pocket and offered it and he took it!! So needless to say I was looking for the same great find.

Well when my parents were here I found it. I search Craig's List every day to see if there are any good dressers. One day I found a dresser for $5, yes $5. I passed it by because it was too good to be true. There had to be SOMETHING wrong with it, missing drawers, infested with mice, really bad smell, drawers that don't open, things like that. Well my mom talked me into it, for $5 I could really afford to put it on my curb if it was horrible. Dad went with me to pick it up and really it was in good condition. We sanded it, painted it, doused it with a little Febreeze (it came from a smoking home), lined the drawers with cute paper, and WAA LAA Chris has a great new dresser that is about double the space he had before!! Now the baby will take his old dresser which in reality is a changing table and dresser combo that my friend found on the curb.

My whole project cost me less than $20 including the dresser!! We even found the paint on the WalMart clearance rack as a miss-tint.

No too bad for so little $$$$$$.
