Chicago Again???




I know I have several posts about Chicago. It's our big city so we go there when we have "new" people in town. This time Tamra and Michael and the family came to check out the city. Lucky for us they liked it and are moving there!! Well not actually into the city, more like a suburb. We met them at their hotel room on Saturday and headed to Lincoln Park Zoo. Chris and I brought a picnic lunch to share and we let the kids check out the animals. It was so fun getting to hang out again. It's been a long time since we've done that, and it didn't involve Plumberry's! After the zoo we went to Denny's for dinner (kids eat FREE!), and got to talk and chat a little more.

Can't wait until they are here permanently, we are praying for their house to sell quickly and for their first winter here to be nice and mild. OK, actually secretly I'm wishing that one for myself!

We had such a great time that day - it made the whole weekend so much more fun. Kessa is still talking about her "cousins in Chicago".

I may be coming back up with Michael so maybe this time I can come to you for the day!!! Love ya all

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...

Our 68 Whiskey

All the fretting and studying and worrying and starving paid off!  K scored an excellent score on her ASVAB, better than most people!  She was able to pic the MOS (job) that she wanted and is happily enlisted in the US Army as a 68W (combat medic).  She has a ship out date of June 21 2017 but when she gets her diploma in her hot little hand in December she will renegotiate her contract and try and leave earlier.  This is a huge sigh of relief for her and a bit of a sigh of anxiety for her momma!  That's ok she is following her dream and doing what she will love.  I have faith that she will succeed!  Love that girl of mine.
