Spring Break

This last week was spring break. I always look forward to spring break, having the kids home, sleeping in, shopping, having no where to be. Then around 8am on Monday I'm regretting the whole thing and am ready for it to be OVER! Well this year I have to say I actually enjoyed ALL of spring break and was sad that the kids had to go back to school today! I know...seriously??!!

We had a great week, Monday Chris took the day off and we went shopping at the Mall. This is very exciting for our "Tween", not so exciting for her daddy. He really hates the Mall. After scouring all the usual stores she finds a couple of treasures and we are headed to more shopping. All in all a great day. Tuesday was met with more errands, and Wednesday was Museum day. This time not so fun for our "Tween" but really fun for the smaller children. Museum day means lunch on the landing, and Lunchables, and Subway for all! We love our local Children's Museum, and were excited to get a pass again this year so we can hopefully travel and see other museums for FREE!

Thursday we headed up towards Chicago to visit our friends the Woolsey's. They just moved here from Colorado and we were excited to hang out with them. I felt bad because they had just moved into their house the week before and as you know a week is not enough time to unpack many boxes, so we lived around them for a few days and came home yesterday. It was great to have the kids playing and the weather was warm enough to play outside. Tam and I did a really cute craft project, and Chris and Michael BBQ'd some yummy chops, and veggies.

So now we are back to the grind, but are glad to be in our own beds again!
