Catchin' up on all the birthday rig-a-ma-roll!

The last week in August 1st week in September is so busy at our house with 4 birthdays.  No wonder I get a little stressed this time of year with school starting and birthdays galore.

Here are some pictures from L's birthday that I have yet to post.  We had a good day.  On his actual birthday it wasn't too exciting.  I had to work in the morning and we had planned a date night in the evening...yeah, loser parents I know, he's definitely #4!  Sunday we plum forgot about the cake we had in the fridge so Monday for FHE we had cake and boy did he think it was worth the wait.

Next was O and C's birthday.  I felt bad last year because I told the both they could have a party and then they got a baby brother instead.  So this year I made it up to them and they had a couple of friends over and had a party on their actual day.  I think it was fun, even if O was telling me about all the people she would have invited if she had known about the party.  WHATEVER!  I did the best I could and she will have to deal the ungrateful little pill.  ANYHOO I think they really had fun and got some great things for their day.


I can't believe that we have another 8 year old in our midst.  How did the time fly so fast.  She will be baptized a member of the Church at the end of the month and she is very excited.  Can't wait to have family visiting for that special day.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
