Cater-WHAT?

Around here there are tons of caterpillar's they are the cute fuzzy kind that even the most avid bug hatters love.  C is even learning about them in school and they are "growing" some into butterflies in his classroom.  We have also had tons of Monarch Butterflies around here lately and I love seeing them.  So at least once a day they are mentioned in our house, whether it by because they are getting bigger at school, they are climbing on the screen door, or O is squishing them because she thinks they are poisonous.

C is the funniest because he calls them cow-da-pidders.  Then he says, "Remember when I used to call them caterpillar's mom, and I couldn't say it right?".  So cute.  I am not looking forward to the day when he says things right, I will miss all these little "C-isms".

Although tonight I was reminded that even 11 year old children can still make me laugh with the things they say.  We have a friend that is in a trivia group, he was saying that one of the questions last night asked what the 4th book in the bible was.  I didn't know (he did) and I asked K if she knew because they sing the names of the books to songs so they can learn them better, to which she replied, "No mom we only learn about the Book of Mormon and the Old and New Testament"!!!!!  SOOOO funny, or sad I can't decide which!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

34 Reasons Why I Love You

Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. I also wanted to give him a little extra and thought I needed to publicly share some of the reasons why I love him. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
