B-U-R-N!!!!!!!!!!

The other night K my oldest was listening to Ke$ha on her iPod.  Now I know what you are thinking..."Wow, aren't you a horrible mother letting your daughter listen to that trash!  Can't believe you'd let her listen to that slutty, alcoholic, inappropriately dressed, person".  Well, as I sit here right now I'm playing Tick Tock over and over in my head, yes I do like her music.  I also liked Madonna when I was in the 4th grade and remember swinging in my back yard singing LIKE A VIRGIN at the top of my lungs.  My mother came outside and asked me what I thought a virgin was and I said a kind of a bird, so she went back to doing her dishes/laundry/cooking, and let me be.  I also remember being very young when I memorized all the words to George Michael's song, I Want Your Sex (I can still recite them).  So I figure Ke$ha and her Tick Tock and Take It Off are just par for the pre-teen course.

Anyhoo I got off track.  She was listening to the song, and looking at wall paper on her iPod when she came across a picture of a pair of lips and said, "These are Ke$ha's lips"  They had pink lipstick on and looked like they had been sprinkled with course sugar, they looked kinda cool and I said, "Those are cool looking".  K was surprised by this statement, and a few minutes later came across a picture of a cell phone all blinged out and leopard print and said, "This is Ke$ha's cell phone", to which I replied, "That is cool too!" (I would totally have a leopard print cell phone if I could).  So then K says, "Man mom you are like a Ke$ha Junior (slight pause), I mean Ke$ha Senior"...B-U-R-N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I am that old.

I was thinking about this same thing yesterday when Olivia was singing Katy Perry's Teenage Dream in the car...in her car seat. Kind of cringed when she sang " Baby put your hands on me in my skin tight jeans" She loves the song. I do too. I'll let it go for now.

I am not even about to judge you, because I am only sure that I am in for a FANTASTIC ride with my girls and all of their music and fashion trends. I can still remember every word to Color Me Badd's I want to Sex You Up. And I turned out alright!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
