I am a Domestic Goddess!

Today I am feeling like a Domestic Goddess.

I have:

 done all my chores
 done 3 loads of laundry
 started bread baking
 bakes 4 dozen cookies
 have dinner in the crock pot
made a gift for our Relief Society gift exchange
cooked lunch (yeah you heard it hear first I COOKED lunch, it doesn't happen very often but wonders never cease!)
I have put the baby down for a nap

AND it's only 11:30am!!!!!!!!

Now only if I LOOKED like a domestic goddess

I am not:

dressed in clothes that should be worn out of the house
I do NOT have makeup on
My hair is a raging mess
I have showered but that is the extent of my personal hygiene
I am not wearing a cute apron and pearls
I am working my way through my second Pepsi!

oh, and I will probably end up eating at least a 1/2 dozen of those cookies mentioned before!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
