Mommy's Mumblings #3

1. The high from anticipating vacation is nothing compared to the low when it's over!

2. Morning sickness and 16 month olds do not mix well.

3. It's weird when you see someone you know at the grocery store and then realize that person lives in Utah and it's really not them at all just someone who could be their twin.  I don't know if my friend Cheri reads my blog but I saw her double at Meijer today.

4. I really need a haircut.  The frizz and poof are starting to bug.

5. My goal this week is to get my baby back on his schedule.  3 hour naps=happy mommy!

6. I really wish they sold Dennison's Chili here in the Midwest, my casserole is not as good without it.

7. My oldest daughter got her own room this weekend, now my sewing room is gone.  I'm very sad about this.

8. C is starting to wear his cowboy boots again on a daily basis, I really missed those boots.

9. I have no immediate plans to take down my Christmas decorations.

10. My cat needs to find a new hobby besides meowing in the hall at 6am, or he may need to find a new home!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... For the last 2 1/2 years Chris has struggled going to church.  The first year was due to the fact that he was in the hospital and fighting for his life and was unable to physically attend.  Frankly the whole family struggled that year and we stayed home for months because it was too painful to go.  The last year and a half Chris has struggled due to anxiety and panic about church.  He still has a testimony and loves the Gospel, he helps get the kids ready for church and attends when he can but for the most part I'm a single mom when it comes to church attendance.  He cann...

34 Reasons Why I Love You

Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. I also wanted to give him a little extra and thought I needed to publicly share some of the reasons why I love him. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
