Pickle Update
My Mother-in-law, Penny, read my last post and sent me some info about our Christmas Pickle:
"I know where your pickle came from. I bought it for you guys. It is an old German tradition. Daryl grew up with a pickle being hidden in the tree. The children were not allow to touch the tree, but look for the pickle. The first one that found it received a treat. Daryl's mom gave us a pickle when we were first married. We had it for several years till the cat jumped on the tree, the pickle plus several other beloved ornaments were broken. At the time pickle ornaments were very hard to find. Sometime after you guys were married I found them. I bought each of my children one and gave them to you all. Wes and Robyn still have theirs to. So now you know !!"
So now we all know!
