Mommy's Mumblings #5

1.  I have no motivation.  Today is dreary and rainy and I wanna go back to bed.

2.  The last 2 nights I have gone to bed early.  Sunday night it was 8:30 and last night was 9:30, I am getting old.

3.  Chris hooked up the TV antenna last night and we get 3 whole local channels! (FOR FREE).  Funny thing was I was annoyed by commercials, and was freaking out at the kids watching half the stuff that was on.  Maybe no TV is good??!!

4. The news scares me.  I like the "what I don't know won't hurt me" approach I've been taking for the last couple of years.  I'm a lot happier!

5. Why do I bother to go to my OB visits?  They take a whole 5 minutes and all he does is poke at my belly and say thank you for your money!  Maybe I'll skip the rest until July, then I won't have to drink that yucky glucose stuff next time.

6. My oldest daughter turns 12 on Saturday.  That's a big deal for us Mormon's, this means she will be entering the Young Women Program and going off to camp this summer, and making new friends, and going to activities, and possibly liking boys...oh the INSANITY!!

7.  I spoke in church on Sunday.  I like speaking in church...I know I'm a freak of nature.  I don't know if anyone else likes when I speak in church but I always learn and grow so much from the experience.

8.  Just a couple of cute things C still says...when he says he's just kidding, he says "I'm just kitten".  He also calls hot dogs, "hock dogs".  So cute.

9.  I sure hope baby lotion is non-toxic, L just licked a glob off of his hand.

10.  That is all.

I don't like the news either. I felt the same way about OB appointments with Beckett...of course with child #1 I couldn't wait for each and every one of them. I am sure you were great speaking in church and everyone enjoyed it. I loathe speaking in church. Lastly...my newly turned 12 year old is speaking in sacrament this Sunday...not sure if I can handle that!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
