Mommy's Mumblings #6

1.  I think aliens have come down and sucked my children's brains out.  Seriously.

2.  Does anyone else out there sometimes just think it would be better if the children did not have any chores and you could do it all yourself so that they didn't break things, and make more work for you in the end?

3.  Anyone else out there ever tempted to let your hubby take all the kids to church so you can have 3 hours of quiet time?

4.  Can you tell today has been an especially stressful Sunday?

5.  I really do love my kids and love spending time with them, contrary to the vibe from this post.

6.  I can't believe that yesterday was really chilly here in IL, and today is blazing hot and steamy.  YUCK!

7. The pool opened yesterday...don't tell the children.  I'm planning on enjoying a couple of pool filled, children free (except for L) days!!!

8. I love Beach House Burgers!!!  Bring on summer!!!

9. I've decided to try and co-habitate with the ants in my house.  I can't get rid of them, I can't get rid of the kids that leave food all over, I can't move...what else am I supposed to do?

10.  I have so many fun plans for this summer for the kids, hope they cooperate with me!!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. I also wanted to give him a little extra and thought I needed to publicly share some of the reasons why I love him. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
