Teacher Gifts

I don't know if the other mom's in my kids classes are independently wealthy, or if they all only have 1 child, but they sure ask for a lot when it comes to teacher gifts.  Teacher appreciation was just a few weeks ago and they asked for money for a class gift, now that end of year is here they are asking for more money for a class gift.  Then the student teacher left and they asked for money for her end of year gift, GEESH!  I really love my teachers and I know that they work really hard for very little dough, but they are not the only ones with very little dough!  If I had contributed every time they asked and for the amount that they "suggested" I would be out almost $100...not in the budget peeps, not in the budget.

So here was my solution:




Tote bags and a coin purse for one of K's teachers.  (boy teachers are out of luck this year as I have NO idea what to do for them).

They cost me $2.25 to make since I had all of the supplies at home.  Personally I like them and would be thrilled if someone made one for me!

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... 34 Reasons Why I Love You

Today is Chris Birthday! I'm awful about making plans and doing things for him so this year I have tried my best to be better. We are having a small party if you will , with some friends tonight and having his favorite apple cake with caramel topping. Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...
