New Year...New Posts!

Well I've decided that I need to get back to this blogging thing.  It really is the journal for our family and I need to keep it up better.  I know I think the last few posts have said that but this time I mean it!

That being said...MY BROTHER IS COMING TOMORROW!!!  I am over the moon excited about this!  I haven't seen him or his wonderful family for over 3 years.  His little one E is not so little anymore and in my brain he's still the little 4 year old I saw last time.  I know I will be shocked when I see him.  He's requested that I tell stories about our childhood!  I cannot wait!  I'm most excited because Bryan has the best sense of humor (at least he did 3 years ago!), and his laugh is booming and loud (like mine) and contagious!  Trina is really sister I never had.  She is awesome and gets us like no one else.  They are staying a whole week!  Can you say G-I-D-D-Y???

Well that is about it for now.  I'm exhausted from cleaning this week and need to do a few more things to get done.

Today we went to our new ward.  We still have one more week in our current ward but we just wanted to check it out, get our faces known, and possibly drum up some help to unload a moving truck in a couple weeks. Can I just say it was amazing!  We've been to this ward before when Chris was on the High Council so there were a few familiar faces.  That wasn't the amazing part... Sometimes life changes and we are all trying to catch up

From day one I could tell there was something different about L...he is my 4th child and right from the start I could tell.  I didn't know I could tell.  I knew he was different from my other kids but I didn't have a clue as to why, or what our future would bring. L was my most sweet baby.  All babies are sweet you say, all babies are different.  I know all babies are sweet but I mean this baby was SWEET.  He slept through the night almost from day one, to a mom 6 hours is like an eternity so I'm calling it through the night.  He rarely cried.  When he did and all the normal boxes were checked, feeding, changing, hot/cold, he just wanted to be left alone.  He would lay for hours on the floor on a blanket and watch life happen.  Then he would just fall asleep and take a nap and it was wonderful.  Being a mom of many kiddos it was like this baby was sent to me on purpose to make it easy.  Usually I have a baby and think "I'm not eve...

Our 68 Whiskey

All the fretting and studying and worrying and starving paid off!  K scored an excellent score on her ASVAB, better than most people!  She was able to pic the MOS (job) that she wanted and is happily enlisted in the US Army as a 68W (combat medic).  She has a ship out date of June 21 2017 but when she gets her diploma in her hot little hand in December she will renegotiate her contract and try and leave earlier.  This is a huge sigh of relief for her and a bit of a sigh of anxiety for her momma!  That's ok she is following her dream and doing what she will love.  I have faith that she will succeed!  Love that girl of mine.
