Aging is optional

Yesterday my oldest child turned 14.  I am really not sure how any of this happened.  One minute I'm a giddy newly wed on my honeymoon and fancy free, the next minute I am the mother of 5 and have a teenage daughter 2 tiny years from dating age...this does not compute!

I have to say that she is pretty much adorable!  We celebrated her day mostly on Sunday because Tuesday's are very busy around our house.  We had shrimp po' boy's for dinner and cake.  She was NOT excited that her cake was not shaped like a Tardis like she requested but we get out of church at 4 there's not much I can do in an hour!

Yesterday made up for it though.  She got 2 Dr. Who t' shirts that are personalized for her, a couple ear cuffs, and a tablet.  I also went to mutual night and brought cupcakes in the shape of a Tardis and a quiz all about K.  It embarrassed her and I loved it!  Here are a few pics for her viewing pleasure...

See told you she is pretty much beautiful!  I am so glad she is my daughter and my first born.  She is sweet, stubborn, smart, witty, thrifty, perceptive, and knows me better than most people!  We love you K!!!

I still remember that little 8yr old girl when we moved. It's crazy how much they've all grown & how quickly they will be on their own. It seems like a LONG time, but too short at the same time. K is awesome!
